Roles and Responsibilities for Next Meeting:

?

1. ? ? ?Gi?m ??c (Director): Each week, a new person will be chosen to be the discussion leader to start the meeting and facilitate it throughout the session in Vietnamese.

?

2. ? ? ?Ice-Breaker: One member will stand up to tell the group something interesting that happened during their week or what they plan to do for the weekend (just a fun way to learn to speak Vietnamese casually to friends). Ice-breaker will choose one person randomly in the group to ask a simple question like ?what are your plans for the weekend? and the person chosen will speak on-the-fly in Vietnamese.

?

3. ? ? ?Current Event: Each Monday, I will send out a business current event article in English for everyone to read at home and form an opinion on the topic in Vietnamese. Attendees can bring notes to meeting if they feel necessary, as they will be speaking in Vietnamese about the article. We?ll have a round table discussion on the article. Participants may have the liberty of speaking on the topic, or just listening if they are not yet comfortable to speak. Since we may have the case where only a few members are dominating the conversation, the discussion leader can facilitate by asking members who have not spoken to share their opinion if they are comfortable. The Discussion Leader and Ice-Breaker roles enables the opportunity for everyone to take turn to participate if they are shy about speaking during the Current Events.

?

4. ? ? ?Phrase of the Day: We will have a phrase of the day or word of the day where participants are encouraged to use during their time to speak. This will allow participants to learn a new phrase or a new Vietnamese word

?

5. ? ? ?Viet-Lish Counter: This person is in charge of counting each time a speaker says something in English. This way, the group can be more mindful of using all Vietnamese. For every word that is spoken in English, you will be required to put in five (5) cents to the money coffee to be used to purchase food for later meetings.

?

6. ? ? Tardiness Policy: If you are tardy for more than the first fifteen (15) minutes of the class, you are required to pay ten (10) cents per minute late.
