Report: Big East sues Texas Christian University

The Big East Conference has sued Texas Christian University?

Last year, the Horned Frogs signed onto the Irving-based Big 12 Conference for the 2012-13 academic year, starting July 1, 2012.

The Associated Press is reporting that the Big East Conference filed a complaint in a federal court in Washington on Monday saying that TCU failed to follow through its membership agreement. The school agreed to join the Big East in November 2010.

TCU released a written statement, saying: "TCU administrators were surprised by this lawsuit and believe it is premature. The university is hopeful for an amicable resolution of this matter. Because of the pending litigation TCU will have no further comment."
