South Africa's 4x100m men's relay team created history after they won the gold medal at the Paralympic Games in a world record time on Wednesday.
Team SA, consisting of Samkelo Radebe, Zivan Smith, Arnu Fourie and Oscar Pistorius, came home in a time of 41.78 seconds, Sports24 reports.
Brazil finished second in 41.92 seconds and the United States third in 42.56, however, both the teams were disqualified later on.
The Brazilians were disqualified for not touching the baton within the take-over zone and the US for running out of their lane. Silver was awarded to China, who finished in 42.98, and bronze to Germany (45.23). (ANI)
