Um.... Can I has a character? I can submit everything but a character picture now.

I must admit, I'm rather mad...but aren't we all? Insanity is one of life's greatest joys, eh?

@Poetic: I sent my pictures for Rei and Statix over with the roleplay document, but I have to be really careful about deleting everything. I don't know if I can make Rei until I get internet back under my name. If worse comes to worse, I could always start him in an email to myself and save it.. I can't wait to see Nikolas, though! This is too awesome!

@Luv: Yeah! I'll reserve you. ^^

Cyrus' new profile might take me a while but it'll be worth it I promise! Or I could just use his old one I made whilst I was a noob.

I hope to finish it today but it's already 7pm and college is tomorrow. D: Show Season starts next week so i'll be really busy! But I do hope to get it done soon, it's not like I need to think too hard. :D

~EDIT~ Aw come on Specs, our sheet is way longer than the New Kids. XD Damn you to heck.

I'm so excited to see Cyrus's new profile, Tabby! You don't even know! >3 And freak, I can't wait to see what you come up with for a character! Ahhh, this is all too cool. Finally getting this thing up after forever! I flagged Timeless as complete, too. Hall of Fame away~! I know what I can do! I can just write down the character sheet on a piece of paper and do everything on my laptop. I have a flashdrive now (got it two days ago!), so I can just transfer everything over when I'm done! :D Hooray for thinking!

I'm sure you'll all love emotionallycompromised!Nikolas.... Of course, my new character will have to be just as awesome... Though, knowing me, I'll probably end up being lazy and not posting him up until later :P But yeah.... ^^

Oh, oh, wait! Attention everybody! I added two new things to each character sheet. Under Gender, I added: "Sexuality" and under that, before Powers, I added: "Love Interest"

Please add these to your character sheets! Sorry for the suddenness. I forgot to add them earlier. Man, the Originals' sheets are really long, though. xD I love long sheets!

@Poetic: I just know I will! ^^

Oh, Spec-chan, if I finish Nikolas today can I put him up as an example...? Or would you rather I just PM him to you? I'm really proud of him so far! ^^

Put him up please Poetic. XD I need ideas for some fields on Cyrus' profile. Besides, I really wanna see him!

There, so we have a female character. We can't really just have Katie. ^^;; I hope someone agrees to it. Anyway, yes, poetic! Go right ahead! Put him up! I'm getting off now to work on Rei's profile, but I'll be getting on and off for a while 'till my dad's girlfriend gets home, so I'll accept him when he's up. ^^

I love love him poetic! He's so great this time around! And the new pictures are a nice touch. He's such an awesome little manic-depressive, ain't he? ^^; No, I'm joking. He has every right to be depressive. Oh, please excuse me for this, though. You've done this so many times and I'm going to be a grammar nazi! I have no right to be The word you've been spelling so many times, "loose" means something coming undone, or becoming less tight. Like loosening a shoe-lace to take off your shoe. You mean, "lose." Like I'd hate to lose my shoes. I'm so sorry for correcting you and sounding like a pompous stuck-up! I'm just doing it because I've seen you do it before and I didn't want you to do it in school or something and get marked off for spelling incorrections.

I'm just gonna go crawl back to my hole now.. And work of Reivy and Statix! Dx

Love it Poetic! I am still working on Cyrus'. ^^ You guys forget that I gotta incorporate Ghost's personality and things to the sheet too. Damn myself (and Cyrus) for making two characters. Ghost became really important, though at the start it was just Cyrus' mind playing tricks on him and no one believed him. XD Man Cyrus is a lot more complex than I realized. I could never explain how his mind works, never ever.

Nikolas certainly has changed, I sort of like the new him. It's a really good change for him in the sense that his PTSD make perfect sense. His personality change does too. Good work Poetic!

Get Out Alive. I actually found a good theme for the RP whilst listening to my Ipod, although it might have made more sense on the original. D: Still, it works... sort of.

Guys, guys. I have 997 messages in my inbox. 99% full. Um, um, what happens when it gets full? Does it start deleting old messages or does it just not let me receive any new ones? I've never deleted a message since I started the site (forever ago). I'm kinda worried about this now! D:

@Twili: That'd be awesome if you did! ^^ It'd make me feel special. Your twins are awesome together!

Luv! Rai made me laugh! You'll see why when I get done with my character--Rei. xD They're so much alike. And the fact that their names are close to each other... Yes, I can tell Rei is not going to like Rai very much at all. xD They're different in a few good ways, though. So there's no worries. But still. I just thought it was funny. Rai's awesome!

@Twili: I'm glad you like it so much! It was a lot of fun. Aside from a few complications, we're all glad to of finished it~!

Yale-Harvard tailgate accident victim identified (AP)

NEW HAVEN, Conn. ? A driver of a U-Haul truck carrying beer kegs through a tailgating area before the Yale-Harvard game suddenly accelerated, fatally striking a 30-year-old Massachusetts woman and injuring two other women, police said.

It's not clear why the driver sped up Saturday, New Haven Police spokesman David Hartman said. The truck then crashed into other U-Haul vans in the lot, an open playing field used for pre-game tailgating parties before Yale home games in New Haven.

Tim Walker of Pawtucket, R.I., said he was grilling sirloin tips when he heard the crash behind him. He turned and saw two people lying on the ground.

People huddled around them trying to help, according to a video that appears to have been recorded shortly after the accident and posted online. "We're not getting a pulse," said someone crouched near one victim, while the cameraman notes the ambulance hasn't arrived.

After emergency officials arrived, Walker said, he saw one victim being given CPR as she was taken away.

"The driver looked shocked. Absolutely shocked," Walker said. Police have not said whether alcohol was a factor.

"He didn't look intoxicated or anything like that," Walker added. "He had a dazed look like he had just hit someone."

Hartman said the driver was in police custody.

Nancy Barry of Salem, Mass., was pronounced dead at about 10:15 a.m. at Yale-New Haven Hospital, he said.

Yale student Sarah Short of New Haven remained hospitalized Sunday, and a third woman, Harvard employee Elizabeth Dernbach, was treated at a hospital Saturday and released.

At the annual Yale-Harvard game, tailgating is nearly as storied as the competition itself. Elaborate buffets dot the parking lots, and fans frequently fill such U-Haul trucks with kegs, grills and hard alcohol.

Six years ago, Yale began shutting down all parties after halftime in an effort to curb binge drinking and keep students and alumni safe. Saturday, the university said it planned to review its policies and regulations on tailgating before games.

"The Yale community is deeply saddened by the tragic vehicle accident that occurred at a Yale Bowl parking lot this morning," the school said in statement.

"Yale extends our sympathies and prayers to the family of the woman who was killed and hopes for the speedy recovery of the two women hurt," the statement said. "Our thoughts are also with those who witnessed or were affected by this tragic accident."

The fans had gathered for the 128th game of the Ivy League rivalry, which Harvard won 45-7 for its fifth straight victory over Yale. Three hours after the accident, the loud tailgating continued in the lot, with music blaring from large speakers and fans grilling hot dogs, sausage and hamburgers. Some students danced on top of other rental trucks.

The accident scene was cordoned off by yellow police tape, and a dozen numbered evidence placards were on the ground. The three rental trucks involved in the accident were still at the scene, stacked one against another from the collision.

At halftime of the game, the public address announcer at Yale Bowl informed the crowd of the accident and the woman's death, noting that it had been confirmed by the New Haven Police. He asked spectators to stand and observe a moment of silence.

Syria's Assad: crackdown to continue (AP)

BEIRUT ? Syria's President Bashar Assad has vowed to continue with a security crackdown to crush 'militants' who he says are massacring Syrians on daily basis.

Assad said in an interview with Britain's Sunday Times newspaper published Sunday that Syria will not bow and will continue to resist the pressures being imposed on it.

The embattled president said he feels "pain and sorrow" for the bloodshed in Syria but added the solution was to eliminate the militants he blames for much of the violence.

He said 800 Syrian officers and members of the security forces have been killed since the start of the revolt eight months ago.

The U.N. says some 3,500 have been killed in the unrest and the crackdown in Syria since mid-March.

Cheryl Cole dressed up for Prince's wedding

Cheryl Cole dressed up in her fanciest clothes to watch the royal wedding.

The 'Fight for This Love' singer and her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh co-hosted a tea party to celebrate the nuptials of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in April and Cheryl says she wanted to look her best even though she was only watching it on TV.

She said: "I made all the sandwiches; egg mayo and bacon bits, cucumber and ham . I even cut the crusts off. My brother brought down some pease pudding from Newcastle and we also had stottie bread. We took it as an excuse to eat all day - it was a disgrace and we all felt sick that night.

"I got all dressed up like I was going, because it's history! I was a baby when Charles and Diana got married, but this is something you'll want to tell your kids about and say, 'Look at what me and Auntie Kimberley were doing when William and Kate got married."

Cheryl says she's closet to Kimberley out of all of her bandmates and the pair spend a lot of time together.

The pop beauty - who is also joined in the girl group by Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts - said: "All the girls from Girls Aloud are good friends, but I live near Kimberley, so I make her jog round to mine, then I reward her with cups of tea. That's fair enough, right?"

WTF?! Santa Banned From Children's Cancer Center

[Guest post by Aaron Worthing. Follow me by Twitter @AaronWorthing.]

Ugh, it?s a bang-your-head-against-the-desk story:

It?s not even December, but Santa has already been fired from Charleston?s Hollings Cancer Center.

For each of the past two years, hospital volunteer Frank Cloyes spent one day as St. Nick, spreading good cheer and snacks to patients sitting through chemotherapy treatments. The 67-year-old James Island resident, a retired insurance executive who calls himself a ?gregarious guy,? paid for his own costume rental.

On Tuesday morning, a volunteer coordinator told Cloyes his services no longer were needed.

?Because of our state affiliation, we decided not to have a Santa presence this year,? Hollings spokeswoman Vicky Agnew said. Hollings is a part of the Medical University of South Carolina.

Decorations will be ?more secular and respectful to all beliefs,? Agnew said. ?We don?t want to offend a volunteer with good intentions, but we need to think of the bigger picture. People who are Muslim or Jewish or have no religious beliefs come here for treatment,? she said.

Well sorry, Ms. Agnew, but I am offended. As long as Mr. Cloyes is respectful of those who are not raised in the Santa tradition?and let?s remember that many atheists, Jews and Muslims celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday?I don?t see what the problem is. If all he does is come to the bedside of the children who celebrate Christmas, make them smile and maybe hear what they want for Christmas, then how exactly does his presence for the children who follow the Santa tradition harm the ones who don?t? And if he is handing out any toys, then all you have to do is make sure he is willing to hand it out to children who don?t follow the tradition, too. He can say to them: ?I know you don?t believe, but I didn?t want you to be deprived because you don?t.? That seems like the Christian thing to do.

And of course the hospital should be equally respectful of all traditions, within reason. I presume that during Yom Kippur or Ramadan that there are appropriate spiritual services available as appropriate.

The fact is that for children that follow this tradition, Mr. Cloyes? work is almost certainly positively good for them. Besides the reality that psychology influences health so that if they are happy their health will benefit, it?s also worth noting that Santa Claus is a very effective method of keeping children well-behaved. A long time ago when I worked on the floor at Target, for instance, around November and December, I would go up to kids who were misbehaving and say something like this: ?Hey, do you see those black domes on the ceiling? Each of them has a camera. Now I can?t tell you who is watching, but he is making a list and checking it twice??

And if the kid celebrated Christmas, their eyes would go wide and they would usually say, ?Santa?!? and I would finish by saying, ?so be extra good when you are in Target.? And about 99% of the time if the kid celebrated Christmas the child became suddenly much more manageable (and the parents were extremely grateful). Seriously, they would get real quiet.

And I said it that way, so that it would leave me an out. If the parents said suddenly, ?we?re Jewish? or something like that, I would jokingly say something like, ?oh, well, that?s actually the FBI watching?it?s really kind of creepy? and they would laugh. Not a single person actually got offended by this, and even if the child didn?t believe in Santa, the mere fact that I distracted them usually meant they forgot what they were acting out about.

The point is Mr. Cloyes and/or the parents could probably convince these sick children to protest a little less during treatment, and generally to behave better if Santa pays them a visit, another benefit that can be reaped from the belief in Santa Claus. Yeah, it would be nice if we could find an equivalent for all children, but I don?t think there is one that applies in all circumstances, and we should not deny the majority of children this benefit just because some have chosen holiday traditions that don?t allow for it. There is nothing wrong with a hospital using every tool at its disposal to promote the health of its patients, even if it isn?t available for every patient.

Anyway, if you are inclined to protest this sort of thing, let me gently suggest a method. Send them proper Christmas stockings? filled with coal.

????????

Exit question: Okay, so you are playing Santa and sit down with a sick kid and ask what they want for Christmas, and they say, ?I want my cancer cured.? What do you say to that? Anyone have a good answer to that? Sorry to bum you out, but I couldn?t get the question out of my head.
